Mold, Poor Quality Control
"The product arrived quickly, ordered 3/1/21 arrived 3/3/21. However, everything went downhill after opening the packages on 4/8/21. I received a defective product—uneven and unstained areas of wood, unsanded slats of wood with splinters, cracked wood, and mold on many slats and legs, see attached pictures. I have small children that already received splinter from touching the slats. The product did not seem to have gone through any quailed control, but the mold is the most concerning as they cover big areas and spread into the wood and is a health risk. I immediately called GDF to report the defects and request a replacement. The representative informed that the product was currently out of stock and will be available 5/12/21, and I would have to call back on 5/12/21. I asked her to document within their system so that a replacement can be sent to me without me having to go through the process again on 5/12, but to no avail. At this point, I am disappointed that I, not GDF, will have to reach out to them to remind again that they sent me a defective product. As of 4/10/21, I have also emailed GDF Support pictures of defects. Will update review appropriately as I hear back."
